Motorcycle servicing in Waalwijk

We service your motorcycle following your manufacturer's schedule. In a minor service we change the oil and oil filter and check brakes, tyres, chain and lights. A major service adds spark plugs, filters, fluids or valves. Labour costs €75 per hour incl. VAT, plus parts.

Why regular servicing?

Brakes, tyres, chain and lights wear without you noticing. With a service that follows the schedule, you know the parts that wear are checked on time. That is safer, your motorcycle runs better and small problems don't turn into expensive repairs. A documented service history following the schedule also helps the resale value of your motorcycle.

What do we check in a minor service?

  • Engine oil and oil filter changed, with oil that suits your motorcycle.
  • Brakes: pad thickness, discs and the level and colour of the brake fluid.
  • Tyres: tread, pressure, age and damage.
  • Chain and sprockets: wear, tension and lubrication.
  • Lights and indicators: headlight, tail light, brake light and indicators.
  • Battery and controls: starting, charging, levers, cables and steering head bearings.
  • Leaks: we look at oil, coolant and the forks.

What does a major service add?

  • Spark plugs replaced according to the schedule.
  • Air filter checked or replaced.
  • Brake fluid replaced and the brakes bled.
  • Coolant checked or replaced on liquid-cooled motorcycles.
  • Valves checked and adjusted if needed, when the schedule calls for it.
  • Throttle bodies or carburettors synchronised when needed.
  • Test ride and a final check before you collect your motorcycle.

Exactly what your service includes depends on your make, model and mileage. Not sure which service is due? Send us your mileage and we'll look it up for you. More background in our guide Motorcycle maintenance: what and when.

Which makes can you bring to us?

We work on motorcycles of all makes: Japanese and European motorcycles, naked motorcycles, sports motorcycles, touring motorcycles and older motorcycles with carburettors. We follow your manufacturer's service schedule, so your service matches what the manufacturer prescribes.

  • We carry out the service according to the schedule and go through the checklist above.
  • Found something? Then we contact you first. We never do extra work without consulting you.
  • You collect your motorcycle and we tell you what we did and what to keep an eye on.

What if we find something during the work?

If we spot something that needs attention during the service, we discuss it with you first. We tell you what really needs doing and what can wait a little. That way you know where you stand and you don't pay for work your motorcycle doesn't need.

Frequently asked questions about motorcycle servicing

How often does my motorcycle need a service?

Your manufacturer's service schedule tells you, usually per number of kilometres and per year, whichever comes first. If you ride little, a yearly service is often still needed, because oil and brake fluid also age over time.

What is the difference between a minor and a major service?

In a minor service we change the oil and oil filter and carry out a safety check. A major service adds the parts the schedule only calls for after a certain number of kilometres or years, such as spark plugs, air filter, brake fluid or checking the valves.

Do you work on all makes?

Yes. We work on motorcycles of all makes, from naked motorcycles and sports motorcycles to touring motorcycles and older motorcycles with carburettors. We follow your manufacturer's service schedule.
